Hundreds of thousands of fans have the same questions about 2026 World Cup tickets. Here are the most common questions answered clearly.
ARE ALL MATCHES SOLD OUT?
FIFA President Gianni Infantino declared all 104 matches sold out through primary channels. However, World Cup 2026 Tickets are still available through the official FIFA Resale Marketplace (open April 2, 2026) and the Last-Minute Sales Phase (early April 2026). Secondary market platforms also have inventory at above face value prices.
HOW DO I GET A FIFA ID?
Go to FIFA.com and click the account registration option. Create an account with your email address, name and date of birth. This is free. Every ticket purchase requires a FIFA ID.
CAN I BUY AT THE STADIUM?
No. There are no over-the-counter ticket sales at any stadium. All tickets must be purchased in advance through official or resale channels. Do not travel to a venue hoping to buy a ticket at the gate.
WHAT IS DYNAMIC PRICING?
Dynamic pricing means ticket costs change based on demand and timing. Prices fluctuate across sales phases and vary by match, team, venue and category. There is no single fixed price for any seat.
WHAT IS THE CHEAPEST TICKET?
The Supporter Entry Tier at $60 is the cheapest. It is available only through national football federations to their most loyal supporters. The cheapest tickets available through the general public sales portal are Category 3 and 4 seats for lower-demand group games, which started at approximately $120 to $265 during early sales phases.
HOW ARE TICKETS DELIVERED?
All tickets are digital. They are stored in the FIFA ticketing app on your smartphone. There are no paper tickets. Bring a charged phone to the stadium.
CAN I TRANSFER MY TICKET?
Yes. Once. The recipient must have a FIFA ID. The transfer must be completed 48 to 72 hours before the match. FIFA strictly enforces these rules.
CAN I SELL MY TICKET?
Yes, through the official FIFA Resale and Exchange Marketplace at FIFA.com/tickets. FIFA charges 15% fees to both buyer and seller. You cannot list on third-party platforms without violating FIFA's terms of sale.
WHAT HAPPENS IF MY TEAM IS ELIMINATED?
You keep your ticket for that match slot. The venue and date remain the same. Different teams play. FIFA does not offer refunds for results-based changes.
WHAT IF I LOSE MY PHONE?
Contact FIFA's official support before the match. Digital tickets are tied to your FIFA ID, not only your device. FIFA can assist with re-accessing your tickets through a replacement device.
IS MY VISA CARD REQUIRED?
Visa was an exclusive payment partner for Phase 1. Subsequent phases accepted other major credit and debit cards.
WHAT IS THE RESALE MARKETPLACE REOPENING DATE?
The FIFA Resale Marketplace closed February 22, 2026 and reopens April 2, 2026.
HOW MANY TICKETS CAN I BUY?
Up to four tickets per person per match through the primary sales portal. Groups of five or more are directed toward hospitality packages.
